While at East Whittier, students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade may choose to elect either band or string orchestra as their Enrichment class, to further their education in Fine Arts (CSU requirements).  These classes meet daily and are part of the Middle School Curriculum.  We offer Beginning Band, Beginning Strings, Symphonic Band, Advanced Strings, Wind Ensemble and String Orchestra.  Students desiring to participate in the East Whittier Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, and/or String Orchestra are selected through an audition process held each year in the month of May.
